The idea of founding the Co-Art Studio began with a story of two artists, Joanne and Hari, and their beautiful collaboration. Joanne is an emerging artist with non-verbal autism, and she has been painting with Hari Koutlakis, a painter and muralist based in Karuna Land (South Australia), since 2019. Their relationship and collaboration have not always been easy, but they have learned about each other and painted together. They achieved artistic milestones together and celebrated together. Joanne and Hari have shared a voice, friendship, and richer lives through artistic collaboration. The founder, Dr Jung Yoon, was inspired by their artistic journey and established the ‘Co-Art’ studio, which aims for an inclusive, diverse, and creative space to connect and collaborate with creative people to share and make enjoyable and meaningful projects together.
